Color of the Year

Greener Pastures

Not only is it official, it’s a consensus! 🤝 The color of the year chosen by Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore are slightly different shades of a subtle olive-y green. SW describes Evergreen Fog 9130 as a tranquil green hue inspired by nature. BM describes October Mist 1495 as a shaded sage that is meditative yet eclectic. Perhaps they are encouraging us to calm down, and chill out with this gorgeous green-meets-gray palette that is harmonious with other hues. 😉 Based on those selections, we put together a few examples of taking this shade to the task. If you’re not committed to an entire wall, no worries, we found some gorgeous ways to accent your interiors with this sophisticated green through furniture, fabrics and accessories. Have a look…

This Dawes sofa eludes velvety LUXURY, and mixes well with rich tones of gold and bronze. We love-love these Ceramic Vases from West Elm. Perfect sage, perfect size and perfect price point. The Pallissade accent table at DWR brings a simple elegant geometric shape to a space. If you are committed to a wall, look at how stunning the lavender bedding looks with the BM October Mist. We absolutely could not resist including this updated trellis patterned wall covering, Belvedere in Sage by Schumacher. The fabric, Bogor by Kravet has enough leaves, blooms, and subtle greens to support the hue inspired by nature. Perhaps a powder room? The James Martin Brittany vanity has a nostalgic vibe but what really makes the color smoking hot is pairing it with the blush walls behind it. Last but hardly least, spice up the kitchen with this any-thing-but-drab olive  Folio leather counter stool at Crate & Barrel.

We hope that we evoked some inspiration for the COLOR of the Year 2022! Many thanks to the team of creatives at Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. We also thank One Kings Lane, West Elm, DWR, Schumacher, Kravet, Bath & Vanity Experts, Crate & Barrel for content inspiration and images.

Love Life at Home.
