🌿 Fresh from the Garden 🌿
To celebrate summer, we’re taking our cue from mother nature with inspiration from the garden, along with our friends at Sherwin Williams and Schumacher. Vibrant hues from fresh herbs & vegetables, plus citrus-ey brights inspire these amazing palettes. We’ve mixed in a medley of FUN prints in fabrics, exploding with color and whimsy.
Herbs (pronounce the H)
Rich hues of subtle greens in the mix influence this Exotic Butterfly in Leaf fabric, inspired by all your faves in the herb garden.
A medley of tomato tones of reds, oranges, greens, and yellows create this delicious palette. You can never get enough of Exotic Butterfly, (this time in red) and here’s why…it’s a special reproduction of a never-before-seen design by midcentury architect Josef Frank. The pattern bears his signature modernity mixed with whimsy and warmth. We love it as an accent pillow and it is also available as wall covering. We mixed in two more, Dixon Embroidered Print Linen, handprinted with pigment ink on a linen ground and then embroidered along the edges to amp up the bold and graphic impact of this large-scale pattern. Full Circle in Jungle, handmade, this graphic stripe made of organic circles, has a playful sensibility.
Bright and brighter.
Splashes of citrus provide a sunny palette inspired by the zest of oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and limes. Encompassing all of these gorgeous tones, meet Chiang Mai Dragon fabric, one of Schumacher’s best-loved designs. We are huge fans of this chinoiserie motif, inspired by an Art Deco print that’s also available as a wall covering. Also in the mix is Zebra, in orange of course, to reinforce this exotic combination. Bring on the foo dogs.
Mother nature is magnificent indeed, with gorgeous colors that provide inspiration for every aspect of design. Take a pause this spring to notice the intricate details in those wonderful herbs, fruits, and vegetables that grow in the garden. Capture the beauty and bring it on in!
