AmericasMart Atlanta 2018

It was pouring outside. Nicole was the only one of us who thought to wear rain boots. We “circled the wagons” a couple times before landing a parking spot. It was the perfect day to be at the Mart. Take a look at what caught our eye.

We are completely charmed by Erin Flett and her amazing textiles. We were lucky enough to meet her and she is as sweet as her designs. She designs crafted home goods that are mindfully made in Maine. With joyful colors, organic shapes and fun elements, she cleverly combines traditional with modern into a pretty wonderful eclectic style. Her goal is to make customers smile and that she did.

The Type Set Co. Finally… stylish fonts for your fridge! No fridge, no fret, they offer magnetic slates to compose a message anywhere you like. Composition is everything so there’s a typeset tool kit for perfect curved or straight lines. A dream come true for a graphic artist. Express yourself with elegance. This company is a family endeavor and that makes it even more special.

Kelly O’Neal for Design Legacy.  The magnificent color and modern technique drew us in for a much closer look. The painterly designs that parallel his paintings make these upholstery pieces into pieces of art. An accomplished interior designer, he skillfully expresses his aesthetics from rooms to the canvas.

Evelyne Prelonge. So French, so fun and so FAUX. They have a Couture Home Collection featuring pillows, throws and cushions.

Nativa. These are amazing. Made by fair trade artisans with skill that has been passed for generations. Each piece resonates the culture and individualism of the artist who put their heart and soul in it.

We had a great day soaking in all this creativity inspired by so many talented artisans. By the time we found our way back to the studio, the rain had stopped. —love life at home
